One Hello World
  • In Dreams of Falling Leaves, She’s My Inspiration

“I wonder what it would be like to actually be with her, you know? It’s that one dream that you have over and over again: holding hands, walking between the trees and all the leaves are falling. You lie down on that blanket underneath that one tree and you sit and you smile at each other. It’s so real, until you wake up and realize no matter what you’ve done, in the end, you feel all alone.”

Maybe if you shared with her the fact that she’s your inspiration (and some of the resulting creations), maybe you could realize that dream of yours. :-) Thanks for calling.

  • Autumn Is

“Everything starts to change: everything starts to get so much more beautiful and my spirits get so much higher.”

It’s my favorite time of year, too! Thanks for calling.

  • Your Downward Spiral

“I don’t know when you got so angry or when you thought it was ok to treat other people like trash on your race to get sloshed at a party, Jay. All I can say is: I’m so sorry that I wasn’t there to catch you at that point and turn you around.”

Sorry to hear it. I hope that with your love, patience and support, he can be better. Thanks for calling.

  • Seeing the Beauty Like I’ve Never Opened My Eyes Before

“Happiness is a feeling I thought I’d forgotten and I thought I’d never have it again. But I’m here to tell you that for the first time in years, I’m not just existing - I’m living. I’m seeing the beauty in everything like I’ve never even opened my eyes before. Getting clean is not easy. If you ask me, I think it’s a train wreck. But it’s so worth it.”

I’m glad to hear you’re doing well. I hope your story stands as an inspiration for anybody who is fighting drug addiction - it gets better. Thanks for calling (again).

This call was a follow up to Working With Chimps Helped Me End My Drug Addiction.

  • We Met On A Train

“The only thing we had in common was the desire to be up in the middle of the night, aimless.”

    Thanks for calling.
